FIA's Recording Facility FIA's Recording Studio, located in Stone Mountain, Georgia, is a digital Mac/PC-based Digital Recording Facility. Typically, tracking uses a combination of ProTools and Sonar (and Cubase on occassion). In production, music is recorded via Midi but is converted to audio prior to mixing. The facility also offers video documentation of the recording experience. The sound is exceptionally dynamic. The studio will accommodate most choirs (approximately up to 30 people). Though the studio is for hire, it remains the foundation of FIA's Record Corporation. A web cam is available during open studio sessions (only if the client agrees). The studio and its owners were awarded first place awards in Atlanta's Annual Christian Songwriters Contest. These awards, first place in the specialty category and grand prize winner, reflect the studio's quality sound and the owner's innovative approach to writing songs. Also, the owners have over 30 years of music business experience including extensive studio work, contract development, artist development, engineering, producing, writing, and live-play. |

FIA Gospel Records FIA's recording division provides an excellent foundation for artists seeking long-term careers in the music industry. Vocal as well as instrumental gospel, Christian, and contemporary gospel music are the primary cornerstones of FIA. However, new age praise musical interpretations are also encouraged including Rapp. All recording begins at the level of providing the appropriate song to the appropriate artist. Once production is complete, from development of songs to recording, artists are expected to perform and provide interviews in cooperation with distribution and promotion personnel, all geared towards promotion of the CD. Presently, CD distribution encompasses the southeastern United States. National distribution will depend on the quality and appeal of the musical product. All individuals associated with FIA Record Company are under contract without exception. Artist contracts are standard while song writers, producers and musicians are associated with individual projects. FIA will also consider cooperative projects with established church choirs and organizations. The distinct variety of material as well as the volume of FIA's catalog of songs makes FIA potentially a recording industry leader. Atlanta's close proximity to the gospel music industry located in Nashville, allows FIA access to a large volume of extremely talented artists and musicians as well as industry manufacturing facilities. Def System Seven Records (DS7) DS7 was developed to provide the company with a separate hip hop/R&B label. Rapp music represents a major force in the current generation's music of choice. While FIA encourages artists who have thoughtful interpretations on their lives, situations, outlooks, and opinions to express themselves through music, gangster rapp and profanity are not supported by FIA. The owner is also FIA's director of Artists and Repertoire. The label currently has 3, and plans to carry no more than, 5-Rappers or groups. DS7 also works with several independent producers throughout the Atlanta area. Studio Booking and Artist Inquiry To book studio time at FIA's award-winning project studio, contact FIA for a consultation. Appointments will be set up at that time based on availability. FIA can provide musicians, directors, and producers for an extra fee. Tapes and diskettes (computer) are necessary and are provided by FIA for a small fee.
